My
Events

I really love making minis, so I was very excited to share my love of miniature making at a few events at Brushstrokes, a paint-your-own pottery studio and art space located at 745 Page Street in Berkeley, CA. I’ve also taught a workshop at Local Economy.

I have more workshops and talks planned—stay tuned for more info!

Workshop: Miniature Wintry Wreaths

Friday, December 17, 2025

In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults and teens, participants learned how to make miniature wreaths using preserved lycopodium moss and an assortment of bits and baubles.

This class was appropriate for both beginners and advanced crafters, and folks made the cutest wreaths—I was so impressed!

As always, there was a photoshoot moment. I created a 1:12 scale front door for folks to photograph their final wreaths. See the participants’ amazing creations below.

Demonstration: A Miniature Maker’s Guide to the Cricut

Sunday, November 16, 2025

By request of the Wine Country Miniature Club, I packed up my Cricut and a bunch of examples and brought them to Sonoma to show fellow miniaturists how I use my Cricut to make minis.

To support my talk, I created a PDF guide with detailed instructions and examples. You can download it below.

Workshop: Making a Miniature Vignette

Sunday, May 4th, 2025 from 9:30am - 12:00pm

In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults, participants created a miniature scene that featured a wall and floor, framed piece of art, console table, and clock. They got to customize your space with a choice of art print and mini-framing method, “tile” color and pattern, wall covering, clock color, and more. Final dimensions approx. 7.75” tall x 6” wide x 3.7” deep.

This workshop included step-by-step instructions on how to make each of the items shown, with a focus on teaching techniques that can be applied to future creations.

This was an intermediate level course where prior crafting experience was helpful.

Workshop: Plants & Pitchers in Miniature

Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 from 9:30am - 12:00pm

In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults, participants learned how to make miniature plants and pitchers using simple craft materials and household objects. These tiny decor items are cute additions to a bookshelf, top of a door hinge, or in the context of a miniature scene or vignette (like what you can create in the "Making a Miniature Vignette" course!).

This class was appropriate for both beginners and advanced crafters.

After enjoying some wine and snacks, I took attendees on a fun and thought-provoking journey exploring what makes miniatures magical via the history of miniatures, contemporary miniature artists, and how making small things brings big joy.
