I really love making minis, so I’m excited to share my love of miniature making at a few upcoming events at Brushstrokes, a paint-your-own pottery studio and art space located at 745 Page Street in Berkeley, CA.
Workshop: Making a Miniature Vignette
Sunday, May 4th from 9:30am - 12:00pm
In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults, you’ll create a miniature scene that features a wall and floor, framed piece of art, console table, miniature books, and clock. You’ll get to customize your space with a choice of art print and mini-framing method, “tile” color and pattern, wall color, clock color, and more. Final dimensions approx. 7.75” tall x 6” wide x 3.7” deep.
This workshop will include an overview of miniature art forms and step-by-step instructions on how to make each of the items shown, with a focus on teaching techniques you can apply to your own creations. You should be able to complete all elements during the workshop, but may need to finish up some details after the class.
This is an intermediate level course where prior crafting experience will be helpful. Please bring a small metal ruler and a small pair of sharp scissors. All other materials will be provided. $85

Workshop: Plants & Pitchers in Miniature
Saturday, March 22nd from 9:30am - 12:00pm
In this 2.5 hour workshop for adults, participants learn how to make miniature plants and pitchers using simple craft materials and household objects. These tiny decor items are cute additions to a bookshelf, top of a door hinge, or in the context of a miniature scene or vignette (like what you can create in the "Making a Miniature Vignette" course!).
This class was appropriate for both beginners and advanced crafters.

Art Talk: The Magic of Miniatures
Thursday, March 13 @ 6:00 PM
After enjoying some wine and snacks, I took attendees on a fun and thought-provoking journey exploring what makes miniatures magical via the history of miniatures, contemporary miniature artists, and how making small things brings big joy.
I’d love to share this talk with your group, club, team or organization. Contact me if you’re interested!
